POLO IS THE
KING OF GAMES

PANACHE: PRESTIGIOUS PRODUCT IMAGE

The 2,500-year-old game of polo is one of the fastest, roughest and most dangerous games played today.  In recent years, it has gained in popularity as a premier spectator sport, and can be an easy game for the first-time viewer to enjoy.  Imagine the excitement of seeing players on Thoroughbred horses bumping and jostling each other as they race at top speed down the field, chasing a small ball with mallets.

Polo Makes Good Sense

You have an opportunity to become a part of this upscale sporting activity. Why does it make good sense for you to get involved in polo? Because you will be able to reach an important and mobile market, entertain employees and customers, as well as make a positive economic impact on the local community.

Polo was first played in the United States in 1878.  The game was introduced by James Gordon Bennett, who had first seen it played in England.  Bennett came to be known as the father of American polo, as it was he who assembled the players, knowledge, equipment, and Texas horses to play the first loosely structured matches in the United States.  The excitement of the sport was contagious; many of the early polo matches attracted as any as 20,000 spectators- impressive even by today’s standards.
